December 18 was opening day for the Hula Tower of the new Embassy Suites-Waikiki Beach Walk property. The all-suite hotel is Embassy Suites' resort flagship; it is a key component of Outrigger Enterprises' $535 million redevelopment of its holdings along Lewers Street in Waikiki. The Hula Tower contains more than 200 suites; when the Aloha Tower of the Embassy Suites property opens in mid-February, the property will comprise 421 suites.
