Travel Agent sat down with representatives of the Grace Bay Club in Turks and Caicos earlier this month to chat about its latest development, The Estate, which opened February 12. The completion of The Estate, a collection of 22 residences, concludes the $250 million expansion and renovation of the Grace Bay Club resort.
We also learned that Grace Bay Club is leaning toward Costa Rica for a planned expansion into Latin America, said Mark Durliat, CEO and principal of Grace Bay Resorts. We previously reported that Grace Bay Club was looking at either Costa Rica, Argentina or Panama for its Latin America debut. After Thursday’s meeting, it appears as though Costa Rica is the front-runner. However, Nikheel Advani, COO and principal of Grace Bay Resorts, told us those plans will have to wait a while. With the current economy crisis, Grace Bay Club is focusing on its current products, including The Estate and its recent takeover of The Veranda Resort & Residences in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, as opposed to any future developments.
