Hilton Hotels Corp., which unveiled its new Waldorf=Astoria Collection in January, announced plans for the first new build in the collection: The Waldorf=Astoria Bonnet Creek in Orlando. The property will be part of a resort development next to Walt Disney World Resort, which will also include a 1,000-room Hilton hotel. The project is expected to break ground by the end of the year and open summer 2009. Both properties will be managed by Hilton. The Waldorf=Astoria Bonnet Creek, like its sister hotel in New York, will feature dining outlets such as Peacock Alley, Bull & Bear, Sir Harry's Bar and Oscar's. Shared facilities will include a Rees Jones designed golf course, swimming pools and a spa and fitness center.
