Hilton Hotels Corp. Augments Waldorf=Astoria Collection

Hilton Hotels Corp. has added a fifth hotel to its luxury brand, The Waldorf=Astoria Collection, the Beverly Hills-based hotel operator announced on Monday. The 46-room, all-suite Qasr Al Sharq or Palace of the Orient in Saudi Arabia, which opened on June 1, is the first hotel outside of the United States to be bestowed with the title, joining the collection's namesake, The Waldorf=Astoria in New York, Grand Wailea Resort in Maui, Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix and La Quinta Resort in California. Consideration for inclusion in the collection includes architectural significance, décor, service excellence and historical significance. The Qasr Al Sharq comprises two palace suites, eight royal suites, 12 executive suites and 24 junior suites.
