The Procaccianti Group, a Rhode Island-based real estate developer and hospitality company, has purchased the Hilton Resort in Scottsdale, AZ, from The Griffin Group. The Hilton Scottsdale has 185 rooms, 45 villas, more than 15,000 feet of meeting space, a 10,000-square-foot ballroom, a spa and outdoor pool. The Griffin Group, Merv Griffin's umbrella company, purchased the property in 1999 and completed an expansion and partial renovation in 2000, 2001 and again in early 2005. The Procaccianti Group is a privately held real estate investment company that specializes in acquisition, renovation and management of investment real estate. It currently owns 43 hotels.
