Hospitality Veterans Form New Management Company

Jim Evans, a former CEO of Best Western International, and Si Sloman, former executive vice president and chief operating officer of Meyer Jabara Hotels, have formed a new hotel management and asset management company, called Opus. The firm will target upscale and midscale properties of at least 150 rooms in the western U.S. Opus has already signed agreements to operate six hotels owned by Trinity Hotel Investors, including two Courtyard by Marriott hotels and four Holiday Inn properties.
