InterContinental Hotels Group on Tuesday announced it had completed the upgrade of the Holiday Inn Tysons Corner in Virginia to a Crowne Plaza, the seventh in the Washington, D.C., market. The brand now has more than tripled its presence in the Washington, D.C., area in less than two years. Other properties include Crowne Plazas in downtown Washington, D.C.; Washington National Airport; Rockville; Silver Spring; Dulles Airport; and Old Town Alexandria.
