Every October, a number of hotels help raise breast cancer awareness with special month-long, pink-themed promotions and amenities. Following is a small sampling of such programs to keep in mind for last-minute vacationers or when clients are making their fall travel plans next year.

For the fifth consecutive year, The Peninsula Hotels in Asia, North America and Europe are showing their support for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout October. A group-wide campaign, “Peninsula in Pink,” is designed to raise awareness and funds through signature pink-themed offers, including afternoon teas with pink confections and a specially designed pink-ribbon pin. A percentage of the proceeds go directly to breast cancer-related charities in each destination.

The façade and public spaces of each Peninsula hotel are transformed with pink lighting and decorations, staff wear specially designed pink pins, and guests and city residents are invited to enjoy a host of enticing pink-themed room, dining and spa promotions. In addition, a portion of proceeds will be donated to select charity partners at each hotel.

For its annual “Bleau Goes Pink” initiative this October, Fontainebleau Miami Beach is lighting up its Chateau Tower from dusk to 10 p.m. nightly for the entire month of October and the hotel is offering dining, spa and retail promotions to benefit the Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale chapter, which will receive a fixed amount or percentage of the proceeds. These include: Pink Swarovski Crystal Pedicure or Bleau Ocean Luxuries treatments; a special Bleau Goes Pink $39 prix-fixe dinner at Hakkasan, Scarpetta, Michael Mina 74 and La Côte, and select purchases or promotions at some retail shops.

In addition, 20 percent of the proceeds from the purchase of a Loren Fighter bra or Sabrina Fighter tank at Lapis will go to the Lynne Cohen Foundation to help fund research to battle breast and ovarian cancers.

A pair of Starwood Hotels & Resorts properties in Mexico—The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort in Nayarit and The St. Regis Mexico City—are celebrating “Pink October” with special libations, spa treatments and bespoke amenities, including serving VeuveClicquot Rosé at a sunset Pink Champagne Ritual.

Throughout the month, guests of The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort are being invited to “pink their drink” with a selection of signature cocktails, including La Vie en Rose, Mrs. Pink, Pink Ginger and Watermelon Rose, as well as an exclusive Pink Menu at the resort’s AAA Five Diamond restaurant, Carolina. Every night in October, St. Regis Punta Mita’s Pink Turndown Service features pink macarons.

On October 25, The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort will also host a special Run for The Cause, a 5K fun run on Punta Mita’s jogging path. The resort will make a $1 donation for every 1K guests run.
