Cvent, a major supplier of event management software and online venue sourcing tools (eRFPs), reports it has aligned with Marriott International to generate additional group business for Marriott hotels. Marriott, a long-time user of Cvent’s event management solutions for both internal meetings and external events, will now endorse Cvent to their hotels on its latest product offering, the Cvent Supplier Network.
The Supplier Network is an online directory of hotels, conference centers and unique event venues combined with a complimentary RFP management toolset for professional meeting planners. Marriott said it was adding the Cvent Supplier Network to an exclusive list of lead generation tools for Marriott’s group business.
“Cvent meeting planners will book over $500 million in meetings and events through the Cvent Supplier Network over the next 12 months,” said Cvent Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Chuck Ghoorah. "By prominently featuring Marriott properties on the Cvent Supplier Network to thousands of qualified planners who book group business, Marriott is more likely to be considered for those RFPs. Marriott’s extensive portfolio of quality meeting hotels and commitment to customer service makes this partnership a natural fit.”
In addition to the increased visibility of Marriott hotels on the Cvent Supplier Network, Cvent and Marriott have worked together to develop a process to ensure meeting and event planners receive timely responses to all meeting inquires. “Marriott places great importance on an efficient and accurate response to planners,” says Julius Robinson, VP of global sales, intermediaries for Marriott.
