Marriott International continues to expand its presence in India with the addition of newly built properties. It has been tapped to manage three new hotels opening over the next several years in Pune. Marriott already operates six hotels in India. Additionally, it will manage six hotels currently under construction and slated to open over the next two years, as well as a near-doubling later this year of one of its existing hotels. Scheduled to open next year is the 153-room Courtyard by Marriott West Pune. It will be followed in 2009 by the 250-room JW Marriott Hotel Pune, and in 2010 by the 430-room Pune Marriott Hotel & Convention Center.
