Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld Finishes Its Five Year Renovation Project

The Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld, recently announced the culmination of its $35+ million renovation project, which began 5 years ago.

The renovations for this 781-room aquatic-themed Lifestyle resort and AAA Four Diamond hotel included: revitalization to its numerous second floor meeting rooms and 65 suite accommodations, expansion of the pool area, including a children’s interactive water playground, an added 8,000 square-foot function lawn and more.

Bob Walsh, general manager, said, “Our resort has reached a significant milestone. The Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld appeals to a wide audience. As one of the leading Lifestyle hotels in Orlando, we wanted to ensure our renovations would meet and exceed the needs of each and every guest, while dramatically enhancing the overall resort experience.”

The 2nd floor meeting space now holds 23 breakout rooms of various sizes, ranging from two Executive Boardrooms with plush executive seating for 12 people to a 2,000 square-foot Orlando meeting room with an air wall for added flexibility. Each breakout room is named after a sea creature. The Atlantis Kitchen is an interactive and open kitchen available for group functions, intimate dinners, cooking classes, demonstrations and more. It can accommodate up to 50 guests, with an option to expand to 200 for reception events, and features the latest in modern cooking equipment.

An 8,000-square-foot function lawn has been added to the resort’s existing function lawn and terrace. Located adjacent to the pool, the area provides an outdoor event space for up to 1,000 in a private setting and can host up to 2,000, when combined with the Pool Lawn and Terrace. The pool area has been expanded to also include an interactive and family friendly water playground called R Aqua Zone. It features a teen and tween play area with two water slides, periscope guns, a gyroscope spinner, shooting water jets, and a water windmill. The play area for toddlers includes a tot pool, a small slide and more.

The resort’s 65 hotel suites were renovated with a new residential and modern design. There are six distinct types of suites that range from the luxurious Presidential suite complete with wet bar, garden tub and large balcony to a number of corner King Suites, which include oversized rooms with large windows, sectional sofas, and the option to connect to a King room.
