NEW YORK CITY – Travel Agent recently sat down with Kevin Rosa, director of sales and marketing for The Sagamore in Lake George, to discuss details of the resort’s nearly $20 million renovation project.

The renovations, which are about 90 percent complete, include the addition of 36 rooms, including four Hotel Suites that are expected to be among the most demanded rooms at the legendary resort. Another notable addition to the resort will be its new 9,000-square-foot, outdoor pool, which is expected to be complete sometime in July.
Inside the hotel, the Sagamore Dining Room has already been completely transformed into what is now the resort’s signature restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. The renovations are expected to boost bookings at the hotel, which Rosa says is holding its own during this economic downturn. “I think when most hotels are cutting back costs, to see The Sagamore continuing to invest, will make a great statement in the industry,” he says, noting that the resort has seen an influx of last-minute booking this year, especially for this past Memorial Day weekend.
