During a sit down on Wednesday with Lance Evans, executive director of hotel marketing for Wynn Hotels, Travel Agent learned that Wynn will launch a multi-million dollar marketing campaign to promote its recent five-star, five-diamond ranking. Evans says the honor is the first presented to any hotel in the world. The five-star ranking came about two months ago, while Wynn also nailed down a five-diamond ranking in November. With Travel Week kicking off this week, Evans says the honor couldn't have come at a better time. "I couldn't think of a better achievement and a better time to get it," Evans says. "With all the luxury agents here this week, this is the perfect time to start spreading the word." Evans says although the complete details of the campaign have not been finalized, the campaign will be focused on print-advertisements, including one appearing in The Wall Street Journal.
