Hilton Hawaii Announces New Area Director of Sales and Marketing

John Hawley has been promoted to area director of sales and marketing for both Hilton Hawaiian Village and Hilton Waikoloa Village.

Hawley served as director of sales and marketing at Hilton Hawaiian Village for the past two and a half years, originally coming from the Hilton Baltimore, where he held a similar role.

Hawley will now oversee sales operations at both Hilton Hawaiian Village and Hilton Waikoloa Village, as well as manage the newly formed Hilton Hawaii sales complex organization.

The organization includes a combination of remote and Hawaii-based large group sales staff originally from the Waikiki and Waikoloa properties who now sell both resorts.

“John has done a phenomenal job at Hilton Hawaiian Village,” said Duke Ah Moo, vice president and commercial director with Hilton Hawaii, in a written release. “We are confident that our other signature resort, Hilton Waikoloa Village, will greatly benefit from his leadership.”

Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort is located in Waikiki, Honolulu, and has more than 90 shops and services, 20 restaurants, lounges and bars; and every Friday evening, it sets the stage for a celebration of Hawaiian culture and entertainment ending in a fireworks show.

Earlier in the year, The Ali‘i, an upscale, boutique hotel located within the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, opened its doors. Formerly the Ali‘i Tower, the boutique hotel has been rebranded and refreshed with upgraded amenities and exclusive experiences.

Guests are welcomed at an exclusive front desk in The Ali‘i’s private lobby. Upon check in, each client is given a leather bracelet allowing them recognition and special privileges throughout the resort, such as priority seating at many of the village’s signature restaurants. The private lobby offers The Ali‘i Library - a place to relax, work, access Wi-Fi or print boarding passes.
