Movenpick Hotels & Resorts is planting its flag in India. The company announced a contract with MS Ramaiah Hotels under which it will manage a new business hotel slated to open in Bangalore in 2008. The Movenpick Hotel Bangalore will comprise 220 rooms and suites, as well as meeting space, a ballroom and dining venues. It also will include a spa and a swimming pool. The hotel will be 30 minutes from the international airport also slated to open that year. Movenpick has 75 hotels in operation or under construction.
