With over twenty years of experience spanning four continents, Hess arrives off of his latest position as Resident Manager at the Nam Hai in Hoi An, Vietnam. A graduate of Switzerland’s École hôtelière de Lausanne, Hess honed his skills at hotels in Geneva, Bern and Malaysia, before climbing the ranks at the Four Seasons to become Director of Rooms. He followed this position with a spell as Executive Assistant Manager of the One & Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives, before joining General Hotel Management in 2012.

This will be the fourth luxury Bali property for the Singapore based hotel group and their third hotel to be opened within the span of a year, following The Chedi Sakala launched in November 2013 and The Chedi Andermatt in December 2013.The Robert Nation designed premises will hold 34 butler serviced pool villas and encompass 22,000 square feet.
