Club ABC Reportedly Ceases Operations

October 4, 2012 By: Jena Tesse Fox

Travel Agent has learned that Club ABC, the popular low-cost tour operator based in northern New Jersey, has ceased operations. The business' website seems to have been shut down, as has its Facebook page.

There have been no provisions for clients already on their trips or with deposits on future tours, and calls to the company's phones have gone unanswered. There was also reportedly no warning for Club ABC's employees.

The Better Business Bureau of New Jersey said that both ABC Tours and its parent company, Crown Travel Service, both failed to respond to repeated inquiries, according to

The bureau said it had received "numerous calls from concerned consumers who had booked tours with the company and are reporting canceled tours or non-responsiveness by the company to any inquiries."

Traveler Mike Wymbs, who booked a $7,000 trip to Spain through Club ABC Tours, said he called the company numerous times earlier this week, and got no response, so he eventually went to its Broadacres Drive office. He found it unstaffed, and a neighboring office worker said the staff were told to leave the offices for good Monday.
