Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., which owns the Sheraton Cable Beach Resort in Nassau, The Bahamas, made some major changes to the aesthetics of the Sheraton property. And along with that makeover came the need for an improved staff for both Cable Beach and Starwood's Caribbean region. Here are some position changes the resort made in mid-January, one involving Sheraton Cable Beach Resort and the others involving Starwood in general.
Andrew Neubauer Named Director of Sales and Marketing for Cable Beach
Sheraton Cable Beach Resort appointed 23-year hotel industry veteran Andrew Neubauer to the position of director of sales and marketing. Neubauer comes to the resort from The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fl., where he held the position of director of group sales for the past six years. During this time, he led a team of 14 sales managers and reached his revenue goal five out of six years.
Lourdes Hainlin Appointed Director of Leisure Sales for Starwood's Caribbean Region
Also in mid-January, Lourdes Hainlin was appointed as director of sales for Starwood's Caribbean region. In her new position, she will be responsible for leading her team's sales and marketing efforts, developing and implementing managed account plans, cooperative partnership marketing and promotional plans and will be expected to achieve incremental growth of market share and revenue for the company. She joined Starwood in 1999 and previously served as Starwood's global account director of leisure sales.
Timothy Rector Becomes VP of Sales & Marketing for Starwood's Caribbean Region
Starwood Hotels & Resorts promoted 29-year hotel industry veteran Timothy Rector to the position of vice president of sales and marketing for Starwood's Caribbean region. Most recently, Rector was vice president of sales and marketing for the all-new Sheraton Cable Beach resort. He was responsible for the oversight and implementation of the resort's overall sales and marketing efforts.
