Rail Europe has announced that starting August 1, Zine Belhonchet the current CFO of Rail Europe, the overseas business unit of VSC Group, will become the CEO and president of Rail Europe Inc., the legal entity of Rail Europe in North America.
“Having led the finance and strategic planning function for many years, we’ve innovated and advanced the organization to the top distributor of European rail products and services,” said Zine Belhonchet, CEO and president, Rail Europe, Inc. “I’m looking forward to continuing to transform and improve Rail Europe, shaping it as a truly global player in the train distribution business. I am excited to work with our team at Rail Europe, Inc. and will seize all the opportunities ahead of us to bring unparalleled service to our customers.”
Belhonchet has more than 15 years of travel industry experience and has served as the CFO since May 2014, though he originally joined Rail Europe in 1997 as controller of the IT department.
