Israel Tourism Minister Dr. Uzi Landau and Haim Gutin, Israel Commissioner for Tourism, North and South America, met with leading travel agents and tour operators specializing in Israel this month during a private luncheon in New York City. The event included an open discussion about the collaboration between the Israel Ministry of Tourism and its tour operator and travel agent partners.

"We are thrilled about further developing our partnerships with leading North American travel agents and tour operators specializing in Israel," said Haim Gutin, Israel Commissioner for Tourism, North and South America, "in hopes to further increase travel to Israel from niche travel markets in North America, our largest source of tourism."

705,288 tourists arrived in Israel between January and March 2014, a 17 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
