Yom Ha'Atzmaut 2010 Festivities Take Place in New York

The Reverend James A. Kowalski, Rabbi Joseph Potasnick, and The Idan Raichel Project helped the Consulate General of Israel in New York celebrate Israel’s 62nd anniversary at the historic Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in May.

CBS personality, Dave Price MCed the event as dignitaries and The Idan Raichel Project performed with special musical guests.

The evening brought Israel's multi-cultural environment to the citizens and dignitaries of New York, while it also promoted a cultural awareness and celebrated a growing relationship.

Travel to Israel continues to grow with increased arrivals from the U.S. year-over-year. While religious travel tends to be a big draw, sophisticated visitors from around the world are exploring Israel’s lesser known attractions like gastronomy, an eclectic music and art scene, wineries in the Golan, green/sustainable tourism, soft adventure in the Negev and exploring the many spas along the Dead Sea.
