Courtyard by Marriott Opens New Hotel in Rome

Courtyard by Marriott has officially flagged its second hotel in Rome, bringing the total number of Marriott-branded properties in the Eternal City to four. With views of St. Peter’s Basilica, the 162-room Courtyard Rome Central Park is located in the quiet residential area of Balduina/Monte Mario, near the city’s Olympic Stadium, the Auditorium Music Hall, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the renowned Gemelli Hospital. The Vatican is 15 minutes away by car.

The hotel has an open-space lobby bar/lounge for impromptu mini-gatherings. For dining, the hotel has “Moscati,” a contemporary fine-dining restaurant featuring Mediterranean and traditional cuisine. An adjacent terrace offers al fresco dining during warmer months.

For recreation, the hotel is adjacent to the “Corpus Sport Center” with sauna, Turkish bath, a relaxation area and four work-out areas. Additional on-site services include an on-site fitness room, business center, concierge services, a retail shop, parking and a shuttle service to downtown. There is also a hair salon adjacent to the hotel.

The hotel’s general manager is Georges Midleje and the director of sales and marketing is Angela Piscopo.

In addition to the newly flagged Courtyard property Marriott International’s portfolio in Rome also includes the Rome Marriott Grand Flora Hotel, the Rome Park Marriott and the Courtyard by Marriott Rome Airport.
