Delta Vacations Boosts Italian Footprint with Naples, Amalfi Coast and Pisa Hotels

Delta Vacations, in partnership with Alitalia Vacations, announced today that it is expanding its European footprint new vacation packages for two of Italy’s most popular leisure destinations: the Amalfi Coast and Pisa.

Italy is reportedly one of Delta Vacations top-selling European destinations, and has seen strong double-digit growth year-over-year in 2013. Delta initially added 17 properties, including a number of luxury and boutique hotels, to support bookings in Naples and in the Amalfi Coast towns of Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento and the Island of Capri. The company added three four-star hotels in Pisa.

In Amalfi, the four-star Hotel Bussola is located near the Duomo and has a roof garden and Neapolitan-inspired restaurant. The five-star Hotel Le Agavi in Positano has its own mountainside cable car that connects the hotel to a private beach.

The clifftop Grand Hotel Ambasciatori has several suites with balcony-views of the sea and access to its own private beach.

Also situated on a cliff, the five-star Hotel Caesar Augustus Anacapri on the Island of Capri was once a private residence. The property is located near the Piazza San Nicola and has terraced-views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Good to know: Delta Air Lines resumed its summer seasonal flights between Pisa, the gateway to the Tuscany region, and New York’s JFK International Airport, making it the only nonstop service between these cities. The flight will operate four times a week until August 31 in conjunction with Delta’s joint venture partner Alitalia.

In addition to Naples/Amalfi Coast and Pisa, Delta Vacations also offers vacation packages in Venice, Milan, Florence and Rome. In May, Delta Vacations added 10 four and five-star hotels in Florence, Rome and Venice.
