Sunset Resorts Announces New Corporate Revenue Manager

Sunset Resorts recently announced the appointment of Mario Nelson as corporate revenue manager. In his new position, Nelson will be responsible for all room revenue activity for the company’s three Jamaican properties: Sunset Beach Resort & Spa, Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort & Spa and Sunset at the Palms.

Nelson’s career has spanned more than 20 years in credit banking, marketing and management. He began his career managing the production floor of a garment manufacturing company with 150 employees on his team. Using his qualifications in financial management, Nelson then went into banking as a credit/branch manager prior to transitioning into the hotel sector in cost control.

For the nearly the past seven years, Mario has managed e-marketing for Half Moon where he was responsible for setting rate strategies and developing and executing the resort’s Internet marketing plan including email marketing and website management.
