Citing positive travel updates from the U.S. State Department and the Japan National Tourism Organization, SITA World Tours has reinstated their various signature tours to Japan and will welcome customized travel requests to this destination.

In June, SITA’s Vice President Laudie Hanou served as the delegation leader for the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) on a seven-day “Re-Discover Japan” tour for both USTOA and National Tourism Association, hosted by the Japan National Tourist Organization (JNTO) and Japan Travel Agency (JTA).

“It strategically provided tour operators a forum to speak with JNTO and JTA,” Hanou said, “as well as to multiple key Japan suppliers, about how best to support the rebuilding efforts for the U.S. market back to Japan.”

Reporting a renewed public interest in these specific itineraries, SITA is offering a number of various packages to Japan. They include:

- “Affordable Japan,” an eight-day/seven-night tour beginning in Tokyo with stops at Mt. Fuji and in Hakone, Nagoya, Magome, Tsumago, and Kyoto.
- “Japan’s Scenic Vistas,” a six-day/five-night venture that includes Tokyo, Mt. Fuji and Hakone along with an excursion to Nara.
- “Tokyo: Window to Japan,” a four-day/three-night tour that also focuses on Mt. Fuji and Hakone.
