Kauai Beach Closed After Shark Sighting

The Associated Press is reporting that a Kauai beach has been temporarily closed due to a shark sighting.

The Kauai Fire Department says ocean safety officials closed Salt Pond Beach after a seven-foot grey reef shark was reported in the water Thursday.

The beach will remain closed until at least Friday morning, and lifeguards are monitoring the area.
