ARC Responds to ARTA Justice Complaint

ARC issued a statement in response to a complaint filed by ARTA with the Department of Justice, arguing that ARC’s product offerings fully complies with all antitrust laws. ARTA filed its complaint in opposition to ARC’s recently introduced Helix program alleging that ARC’s Helix violated antitrust rules.

“ARC is aware of the complaint filed by ARTA with the Department of Justice concerning the alleged anti-competitive nature of ARC’s various programs for travel agencies. These programs, some of which have been in existence for more than four years, were closely reviewed prior to launch and it is ARC’s position that each product offering fully complies with all antitrust laws, “ARC said.

“Travel agencies, whether large or small, established or starting up, should have access to as many business options as possible to help them succeed,” said ARC spokesperson Peter Abzug. “ARC encourages these agencies to speak out on their own behalf to ensure a continued open market from which to draw vital resources.”
