September 12, 2007 By: Jennifer Merritt Travel Agent

Start up, low-fare carrier Virgin America on Friday joined the Sabre global distribution system. The agreement between the two companies allows for Virgin America's fares and inventory to be made available to travel agents using the Sabre GDS. Virgin America also is available through Galileo.

"We are delighted to be a part of the Sabre GDS channel," Brian Clark, vice president of planning and sales for Virgin America, said in a statement. "This important distribution channel will allow us to more efficiently and broadly distribute fares for our San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and Las Vegas routes."
