Anantara Angkor Resort, Cambodia, has announced plans for renovations to all 34 of its accommodations, transforming the resort to an all-suite property with a debut set for January 2017.

The revamped property will have eight suite categories, including conversions of the resort's ground and first floor Deluxe and Premier Rooms into Premier and Terrace Suites, increasing the overall square footage of both inside and out. The new suites will take bookings in time for this year's peak season, the resort said. The project will also add one- and two-bedroom Jim Thompson Explorer Suites, which will have imported Thai silk throughout. The resort's existing Anantara and Sothea suites will also receive a refresh as part of the project.

For dining, the restaurant at Anantara Angkor will be re-styled as the Chi Restaurant and Bar, deriving its name from the Khmer word for "herb." The restaurant will serve Khmer cuisine with a focus on seasonal, organic ingredients and a commitment to sustainability. Elsewhere on the property, the L Lounge will serve afternoon high tea, signature cocktails, Asian tapas and champagne in a space overlooking the resort's green grove.

The resort will also offer Anantara's Dining by Design experience, which allows guests to choose their time of day, method of transportation, location, and dining and drink enhancements from a list of over 100 possible combinations. Possibilities include dining at sunset in a countryside rice paddy, or taking in the sunrise at Angkor Wat before being transported by private car to a temple for a picnic breakfast. The resort's Experience Butlers and dedicated destination experts will assist guests in designing a bespoke dining experience.

The resort has also added new all-inclusive packages: Discovery Package; Wellness Package; Unlimited Add-ons. Each includes round-trip airport transfer, arrival foot ritual, in-room amenities throughout stay; private tuk tuk service; Experience Butler service; unlimited activities; unlimited daily spa treatments; and all meals.

Anantara Angkor Resort is 10 minutes away from the UNESCO World Heritage Area that includes Angkor Wat.
