The Leading Hotels of the World has announced the addition of six new members in Austria, Greece, Spain, and the United States to its collection of luxury hotels.

The Palais Coburg Residenz in Vienna, Austria, is set just behind the Parkring and offers views of the park, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the old city. Design elements include medieval features with contemporary accents throughout all guestrooms and 34 individually appointed suites. The property’s hidden gem is a secluded garden, comprising towering trees, flowers and fountains, as well as a spa area with indoor pool, steam bath and six wine cellars.

Situtated in the village of Imerovigli in Santorini, Greece, Chromata Up Style Hotel joins its sister property Katikies in the LHW portfolio. The property affords views of a dormant volcano, and is open seasonally from April through October. Comprising 25 rooms, the hotel has a local Cycladic style, with architecture that aims to create a cave-like atmosphere, complemented by minimalist furniture and fixtures.

Also in Greece, guests seeking romance can stay at Bill & Coo Suites and Lounge, in Mykonos. The hotel comprises 30 suites, all furnished with white-washed walls and accented with cushions and bedding in lilac, lime, aqua and rose. The suites also open up to private verandas offering views of the Aegean Sea.

Canyon Ranch in Tucson, in Arizona, is set on 150 acres in the Sonoran Desert on property which was once part of a working cattle ranch. Now noted as a destination spa,  each of the 163 rooms and suites offer views of the mountains and desert, while locally crafted art and décor draw inspiration from the colors of the Southwest. The hotel is alcohol free, and cellphone use is discouraged. Additionally, in keeping with the resort’s wellness philosophy, the three restaurants serve health-conscious, balanced dishes. An 80,000-square-foot spa complex offers extensive facilities and more than 100 services and treatments.

Also ideal for health-conscious travelers is Canyon Ranch in Lenox, in Massachusetts. Situated in the Berkshire Mountains, the property was created in what was once a classic late 19th-century mansion, comprising 126 rooms and suites. A 100,000-square-foot spa complex has saunas, pools, gyms, and exercise studios, as well as indoor tennis, racquetball, squash and basketball courts.

The soon-to-open Gran Melia Palacio de los Duques, in Madrid, Spain sits next to The Royal Palace, The Opera House and The Cathedral, and combines two historic buildings; a 13th-century convent and the 19th-century Palace of Dukes of Granada de Ega. The property was updated in an avant-garde style with extensive displays of art spread throughout the building. 180 spacious rooms and luxurious suites have an art-influenced theme, while an expansive outdoor patio comprises a solarium, a  garden and a cocktail bar serving a range of contemporary cuisine.
