Hyatt's Luxury Brands Continue to Expand

tradeshow floorHyatt's luxury brands are making exciting moves. Travel Agent sat down with Tristan Dowell, director of brands for Park Hyatt and Andaz, during Luxury Travel Exchange's annual tradeshow. Dowell shared some insight on what Hyatt's luxury brands will be offering.

Soft launched in September 2011, Park Hyatt's Masters of Food & Wine program will come to 30 Park Hyatt properties as of next year. This program is a great way for travelers to add an extra level of depth to their travels. Hotel chefs take guests out into the field, where they learn about the sourcing, prep and serving of their food. It is a journey literally from farm to table and allows travelers to take an added memory home with them.

Park Hyatt is also on the verge of opening a New York property on 57th street, which will be a brand builder for the company. That hotel will open next year. Park Hyatt is also coming to Vienna. Soon there will be a total of 40 Park Hyatt properties internationally.

In the Andaz world, Andaz Wall Street, which was damaged during Hurricane Sandy is now open for business. There is still some cosmetic work that needs to be done, according to Dowell, but the property is operating business as usual.

Other Andaz openings from this year include Amsterdam, Napa and Savannah. Coming soon will be Andaz's first resort: the Andaz Wailea. Another resort is slated to debut in Costa Rica.
