Christmas Tree

This has been an exciting year for the team at Luxury Travel Exchange. With a new name, new concept and new opportunities for you, this year’s event promises to impress. Building on that excitement is the beautiful new backdrop to it all—our new venue, The Palazzo Las Vegas

I had the opportunity to visit the property last month, and it is amazing, certainly a luxury product your clients visiting Las Vegas will enjoy. What’s more, together with its sister property, The Venetian, The Palazzo Las Vegas will host the second annual Winter In Venice™ Holiday Celebration, from November 18 -January 6. Perfect timing for all us attending LTX.

The Winter In Venice Holiday Celebration is a one-of-a kind event featuring 50 days of Italian-inspired holiday festivities, which will include an enchanting nightly winter parade, whimsical tree-lighting ceremonies, stunning new 3D light projection shows, an elaborate “gingerbread fantasy” scene in The Palazzo Waterfall Gardens, and—a fan favorite—the return of the picturesque skating rink above The Venetian’s romantic outdoor Grand Canal. In fact, in its first year, Winter in Venice captured the attention—and the hearts—of visitors around the world, including Travel + Leisure magazine, which called it one of the “world’s coolest ice skating rinks,” and featured the rink on a short list of the magazine’s “favorite venues.” And of course, nearby, you’ll find a 65-foot Christmas tree presiding over Doge’s Palace, with special tree-lighting ceremony and a glorious 3D technical marvel “Light of Venice.”

The Waterfall Gardens at The Palazzo will be transformed into an elaborate show-stopping Gingerbread Fantasy, a collaboration of The Palazzo’s award-winning horticulture, design and pastry teams. The new scene, which will take 90 days to bake and build, includes a towering 29-foot-tall structure, a focal point made of gingerbread and other organic materials.

Just like Venice, Italy, The Palazzo Las Vegas and The Venetian are renowned for their culinary experiences. Holiday themed food and cocktail menus will be presented throughout many of the world-class eateries on property.

This second annual celebration of the winter holiday season will also feature new, exclusive, six-week run of “Mannheim Steamroller Christmas—Vegas, by Chip Davis,” with beloved and iconic holiday music in The Palazzo Theatre. Recognized as one of the nation’s “Top 20 Concert Tours” by Pollstar in 2011, it has also been known for revolutionizing the sounds for Christmas. And some lucky Platinum Pass registrants will be able to enjoy the show!

The best way to experience Winter in Venice is by staying overnight at The Palazzo and enjoying other festive holiday touches, including warm apple cider upon arrival and a sincere “Welcome to Winter in Venice” greetings and more. These are just a few more reasons to be in Las Vegas for Luxury Travel Exchange International. To register, book your stay and find out more, visit www.LTXInternational.com
