Leading Luxury Tradeshow Proves To Be Another Resounding Success

NEW YORK — Luxury Travel Expo, produced by Luxury Travel Advisor and Travel Agent magazines, attracted 2,302 travel advisors who participated in more than 25 educational sessions and visited with over 475 luxury suppliers in the exhibit hall. In addition, a record-breaking $250,000 in travel prizes, luxury goods and cash were given away over the three days of the show. The twelfth Luxury Travel Expo was held from December 7-9, 2010 at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Furthermore, Luxury Travel Expo launched two successful events, the Young Leaders Conference and Luxury Travel Exchange. Both drew new travel advisors to the annual tradeshow. Read more here to learn more on the events.

“Luxury Travel Expo 2010 was a tremendous success and we have received phenomenal feedback from agents and suppliers regarding their event experience,” remarked Alicia Evanko, vice president of tradeshows and events, The Travel + Hospitality Group. “Although popularity of the tradeshow and education continues to be the main draw for attendees, the introduction of new incentives and the launch of the Young Leaders Conference and Luxury Travel Exchange resulted in a new and qualified audience.”

Education and entertainment highlighted the general sessions.
The general sessions included insightful presentations from Nancy Friedman, founder and president, Telephone Doctor Customer Service Travel; Margaret Murphy, co-founder, theifive.com; Charles and Jennifer Maring, Maring Visuals and Kristi Jones, president, Virtuoso.
