Starwood Promotes aloft During NY Fashion Week

Starwood's new select-service brand, aloft, was backstage at New York's Fashion Week last week with its own VIP lounge. The lounge featured the go-go, an Airstream trailer designed in the look and feel of aloft. Ross Klein, president of W Hotels, says customers can look forward to the first property next year (though the location has not been announced). Properties will average about 136 rooms with an average room rate of $129. Klein says Jean Georges has also signed on for the brand's Grab & Go food concept.
