Tripology Update: 150,000th Consumer Trip Request

Tripology reports that it continues to experience success with its online travel referral service since Rand McNally acquired the firm in March. Tripology says it as completed its transition to become the first in a series of web-based travel services being launched on RandMcNally.com.

In the last month, Tripology reached a milestone with the matching of its 150,000th consumer trip request to travel specialists, Tripology reports. The company’s network of qualified travel specialists, known as Tripologists, has also continued to expand currently reaching more than 14,500.

Since the acquisition by Rand McNally, the company has re-signed preferred alliance agreements with Travel Leaders (formerly Carlson Wagonlit Travel). This agency group is the latest to renew its agreement, joining such preeminent organizations as AAA, MAST Vacation Partners, Vacation.com and Ensemble that have also signed new agreements with Tripology, the company says.

Tripology also has added more suppliers to its Travel Industry Supporter Program. As part of the program, suppliers reimburse Tripologists for each lead purchased from Tripology that results in a booking with them. To date, there are more than 40 suppliers participating including Adventures by Disney, GOGO Worldwide Vacations, Classic Vacations, AMAWATERWAYS, Pleasant Holidays, Globus, Avalon and many more.

As part of Rand McNally, Tripology said it benefits from a larger technology platform, greater resources to grow its services across its existing Internet customer base and having access to Rand McNally's Internet customers and site traffic.  The company said it will be implementing a number of enhancements and innovations, focused new agent tools and consumer integration with Rand McNally. These enhancements are scheduled to launch later this summer.
