Maui Resort Gets New Director of Food and Beverage

The Makena Beach & Golf Resort has named Leo Mallari Jr. as the hotel's new director of food and beverage.

Mallari has more than 23 years of experience in hospitality management to oversee the resort’s four restaurants and outlets, as well as the resort’s various catering and food service programs.  He comes to Makena from the Ritz Carlton Kapalua, Maui where he served as the Director of Restaurants since 2005. Mallari has also held positions such as the Director of Outlets, Beverage Manager and Dining Room Manager at the Sheraton Maui, Director of Front Office at the Kapalua Bay Hotel and Villas, Housekeeping Manager at the Royal Lahaina Resort and Front Office Manager and Assistant Food & Beverage Director at the Stockton Hilton in California.
 
Mallari has obtained many Hospitality Management certifications such as the Quality Selection Process Analyst, Leadership and Business Excellence from the Ritz Carlton. He was also a Six Sigma Green Belt for Starwood Hotels and a certified Hilton Reservations system trainer by Hilton Hotels.
