Sheraton Maui Partners With Local Brewery for Exclusive Beers

March 14, 2012 By: Jena Tesse Fox

Beer fans have a new reason to visit Hawaii: The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa has announced its partnership with Maui Brewing Company for the creation of the Black Rock Lager served exclusively at the resort's pool bars and lounges.
The lager is named after the legendary lava rock formation on Ka’anapali Beach. The Black Rock Lager reportedly lives up to its name by beginning with crisp yet shallow bitterness and slightly smooth and roasted malt flavors before rising to a heavenly floral and spicy finish. An American Dark Lager, the Black Rock Lager contains 5.5 percent alcohol and 25 IBUs.

Guests at the hotel can sample the deceptively dark yet rewardingly refreshing craft beer while watching the legendary Cliff Dive Ceremony every evening at sunset.

According to its mission statement, Maui Brewing Co. uses sustainable processes and local ingredients whenever possible. As Hawaii’s largest craft brewery, the company creates all of its products in Hawaii.
