Kerzner International Holdings Limited has entered into an agreement with BK Partners, a private equity fund focused on tourism and land development, to develop and operate two new One&Only resorts on the Pacific Coast of Mexico.
These new resorts will aim to complement the experience offered at One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos.
One&Only Mandarina, located in Riviera Nayarit, roughly 30 miles north of Puerto Vallarta's airport, will offer roughly 145 luxurious villas as well as private residential estates, farm-to-table dining and original retail options.
A wide variety of accommodations will include Ocean Cliff Villas, Tree House Villas and Mountain Villas, all placing an emphasis on privacy and beautiful vistas. Adults will discover the very chic pool, soaring high above the Pacific, with private cabanas and a sophisticated poolside cafe and lounge, perfect for a decadent escape or an intimate gathering.
A beach club, just steps from the water's edge, will provide fun and energy, as well as relaxation. There will also be a family pool. Built into the bluffs and benefiting from varying elevations, a wide variety of experiences can be enjoyed within this tribute to the natural elements, including cabanas for families. Both internationally influenced and locally inspired restaurants will allow clients to explore a range of dining experiences.
The latest in fashion will be available at boutiques. The resort will also offer an indulgent One&Only Spa and Fitness Center, honoring the inspired surrounds with treatments using traditional Mexican elements, as well as the latest technology. In addition, the resort will have a private Conference Center, offering the perfect destination for corporate meetings and retreats.
One&Only Santa Maria de Xala will be part of a new 2,965-acre development located nearly 60 miles south of Puerto Vallarta's international airport. The resort will offer about 75 luxury villas and suites with private pools.
