Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya has officially opened in the center of the Riviera Maya. This adults-only resort has suite options with private pools, six restaurants -- including a buffet, cafe and grill -- top-shelf spirits, complimentary green fees at Riviera Maya Golf Club and three pools (one an infinity pool).
This is the 17th property for Secrets Resorts & Spas. The first guests to stay at the resort, Ernest and Carolyn Freier, were involved in the official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Looking forward, Secrets Playa Bonita Panama Resort & Spa will open on December 1, 2015. This adult-only resort will have 303 rooms and five pools. It will be located within a short distance of Panama's shopping districts, the Panama Canal and the Punta Bruja Nature Reserve. Guests can choose from four restaurants, a buffet and a cafe.
