New Hilton Los Cabos to Complete Renovations This Fall

This September, Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort is expected to complete its final phase of a massive, multi-million dollar renovation. Recently reopened this July, the resort now features new menus and restaurant options, new club-level suites, a 7,000-square-foot spa and salon and more.

New to the resort’s bar scene are Mio swim-up bar, Azul lobby bar and La Onda beach bar, which all have been reimagined. On property restaurants have also gotten a face lift; El Meson and Madero now feature healthy juices, salads, snacks and more that guests can enjoy poolside or in more formal settings.

By Labor Day Weekend, the resort will be near completion of its new spa concept, featuring brand new treatment rooms, a mani-pedi station and a Zen Garden and Movement Studio where guests can participate in a variety of exercise classes.

Also new to the resort this September will be La Vista Club, which will feature 65 completely remodeled club-level suites, private facilities, custom dining options, extended balconies and more.

Grand Hyatt Opens in Playa del Carmen

Renovated and remodeled a second time before opening this June, Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen redefines the meaning of a brand-new resort. Riviera Maya’s newest urban beach hotel features 314 guestrooms including 36 suites and 20 oceanfront suites, onsite dining and a full service spa, making it the perfect getaway for this upcoming Labor Day Weekend.

La Cocina and The Grill at 1-26 both feature local authentic cuisine and open kitchens, while The Paseo offers beachside cocktails and quick bites.

The hotel’s Cenote Spa offers eight treatment rooms with exclusive menu options, an 82-foot lap pool and a fitness center for guests looking to keep in shape during their stays.

Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen also offers activities for the whole family, including a Teen Arcade, an Olympic-sized swimming pool overlooking the ocean and Camp Hyatt, where kids four to 11 years old can enjoy staff-run crafts, games, educational activities and more.

Starwood Builds Luxury Hotel in Mexico City

Opening just this spring, Starwood Hotels Luxury Collection’s Las Alcobas is new to Mexico City’s lively Federal District

The intimate hotel is the brainchild of renowned designer Yabu Pushelberg. Each of the 35 guestrooms and suites are complete with Mexican contemporary art, textiles and furnishings to reflect the country’s unique culture.

Guests can also enjoy the hotel’s new gourmet restaurant, Anatol, which features international dishes and farm-to-table meals plated by Chef Justin Ermini. For a more relaxed dining setting, guests can enjoy Dulce Patria, the hotel’s cocktail and wine bar.

Within walking distance to Mexico City’s Anthropology Museum, Palace of Fine Arts, Catedral and Presidential National Palace, Templo Mayor and Alameda Central, Las Alcobas is a prime destination for culture-lovers this Labor Day.
