Starwood Hotels & Resorts recently announced the launch of its third destination concentration for the ProLearning module, Starwood Destinations. Now available at, the new course was developed to educate travel professionals about the Mexican destinations of Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico City and Cancun and the Starwood properties located in these regions. Starwood Destinations employs “story-selling” to educate travel agents about its properties and destination regions.
“We are particularly excited to launch this Mexico module,” said Vice President Global Retail Leisure & Luxury Sales Chris Austin. “Our portfolio of properties in Mexico is outstanding and we are thrilled to support these Mexico destinations that are safe, beautiful vacation opportunities for travel professional clients. Now more than ever, travel professionals need educational resources to best help their customers choose a Mexican vacation.”

Existing destination modules have already been viewed by thousands of current StarwoodPros. The Caribbean module focuses on Aruba, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, St. John and the Mexican Caribbean destination of Cancun, and highlights the six Starwood Caribbean resorts in the region.

Each module can be explored one island at a time and travel professionals can return to their last completed section at any time. Certificates and a virtual concierge are provided for each module. These are the first of several destination-selling modules that Starwood will debut this year.

The Mexico module highlights 11 Starwood properties including the following properties in Los Cabos: Westin Cabo San Lucas, the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf and Spa Resort and the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort; the following properties in Puerto Vallarta: The Westin Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta and Sheraton Buganvilas Resort & Convention Center; and the following hotels in Mexico City: Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel and Towers, St. Regis Mexico City, W Mexico City, Sheraton Suites Santa Fe, Westin Santa Fe; and in Cancun, The Westin Resort & Spa Cancun.
