Two New Flight Options to Mexico From Dallas and Denver

viva aerobusThis week saw the announcement of two new and upcoming flight options from Dallas and Denver to Mexico, from Viva Aerobus and Southwest Airlines

Low-cost carrier Viva Aerobus officially announced new service from Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport to Monterrey and Guadalajara. The three weekly flights use Airbus A320 aircraft that seat 180 passengers and Boeing 737 aircraft that seat 148 passengers. 

Viva Aerobus currently serves 21 destinations in Mexico with hubs in Monterrey and Cancun. The airline flies to three U.S. destinations in addition to DFW Airport.

Also this week, Southwest Airlines filed an application with the U.S. Department of Transportation to provide daily, nonstop service between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Lic. Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR) in Puerto Vallarta, beginning in November 2015, subject to approvals from relevant governmental agencies.

Southwest will initiate service to Puerto Vallarta, the carrier's fourth destination in Mexico, on June 7, with a daily flight both to and from John Wayne Airport Orange County (SNA).

Flight times and fares for the Denver - Puerto Vallarta service will be announced in the coming weeks.
