Hôtel Métropole's Odile Firmin-Guion Passes Away

This past week, Odile Firmin-Guion died suddenly in the mountains above Nice. For more than five years, she had been the director of marketing and public relations at the Hotel Metropole in Monte-Carlo.

According to Monaco Life, the 42-year-old mother of three was injured in an accident while participating in a team-building exercise.

The Monaco tourism board issued a statement expressing grief at the sudden death: "Odile's memory will live on in our hearts forever as an 'invisible presence.' May her energy, elegance and altruism guide us from now on. We send our sincerest condolences to her family and those close to her, and especially to her three young children, in the hope that they may overcome the insurmountable."

Odile Firmin-Guion helped writers at Travel Agent and its sister publications gather information on the Hotel Metropole and Monaco in general. We send our sympathies to her family and loved ones.
