Redmont Hotel Birmingham Debuts, Joins Curio

Redmont Hotel Birmingham After undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation, Redmont Hotel Birmingham has joined Curio – A Collection by Hilton as the second property for the boutique hotel brand in Alabama.

The property was previously a historic hotel with a storied past dating back more than 90 years. It first opened in 1925 and included private baths, chilled running water and ceiling fans. Today, guests at Redmont Hotel Birmingham, Curio Collection by Hilton are greeted by the hotel’s vaulted ceilings, a custom 10-foot crystal chandelier and a staircase with marble steps which incorporate the original iron handrail.

The hotel is managed by Rhaglan Hospitality LLC, is owned by Bayshore Redmont Inc. and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The property comprises 120 renovated guest rooms, as well as 11 suites and a presidential suite.

The décor has jewel-toned finishes and marble-clad baths, while amenities include a 24-hour business center and a 24-hour fitness center with state-of-the-art BH equipment. In-room customized massages and facials are also available.

For dining, there is Harvest, led by Chef Eric Rivera. The upscale restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves modern dishes with heavy Italian accents. Offerings include Lamb Shank Pie with a rosemary crust served with Tuscan white beans and root vegetables. There is also 2101 Café, serving lighter fare and locally-brewed coffee from Revelator Coffee along with salads, paninis and in-house pastries.

Adventurous travelers can explore the property’s hiking trails or try zip lining, while a visit to the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame, Alabama Ballet, Alabama Symphony Orchestra or Birmingham Zoo also offers some unique experiences nearby. Redmont Hotel Birmingham is also located near the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex and University of Alabama at Birmingham
