KLM to Resume Miami-Amsterdam Flights

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has announced a four-times-a-week round-trip service between Miami International Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport starting at the beginning of the summer schedule on March 27, 2011. This re-launches KLM’s nonstop service to Miami that was suspended in September 2004.

KLM will operate this service using MD-11 equipment, which seats 285 passengers: 24 in World Business Class, 38 in Economy Comfort Class and 223 in Economy Class. All seats are equipped with a personal video screen and interactive, on-demand entertainment.

The Miami-Amsterdam service will depart Miami Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 9:15 p.m. and arrive the next day at 12:05 p.m. in Amsterdam local time. The return flight will depart from Amsterdam every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 3:00 p.m. local time, arriving in Miami at 7:10 p.m. local time.
