Resorts Across Vermont Offer Affordable Prices for Fall Leaf Peeping Adventures

Fall foliage and leaf peepingFor a full leaf peeping experience, resorts in Vermont are offering a wide range of special midweek packages including a fourth night free with the purchase of any three night's accommodations, edible incentives and rebates.

The Wildflower Inn in Lyndonville includes a full breakfast, afternoon hot cider, Vermont Cabot cheese and cookies as well as a customized booklet with tours to viewfall foliage. Rates start at $699 for four nights based on double occupancy and are available now through November 2, 2012.

The Red Clover Inn & Restaurant, located on a mountain farm, offers a special vacation package from September 17 to October 29, 2012, starting at a total package price of $585 for four nights based on double occupancy, including daily farm-to-table breakfast.

The Governor’s House in Hyde Park offers a complimentary half pint of maple syrup from a local producer when booking a two-night stay. Rates start at $145 per unit through October 25, 2012.

Tucker Hill Inn in Waitsfield provides visitors with a complimentary pint of maple syrup and daily breakfast with rates starting at $139 per room, per night, now through October 31, 2012.

Otter Valley Winery in Brandon offers free wine tasting and a bottle of complimentary wine when visitors book two nights in their cozy cottages. Rates start at $218 for two nights now through October 27, 2012.

The Black Bear Inn in Bolton is offering a $50 gas card with two-night stays. The two night package starts at $318 and is available from September 14 to October 20, 2012. 

Vermont’s first green agritourism enterprise, Liberty Hill Farm provides a $20 gift certificate towards the purchase of a nature book at the Rochester Ranger station and complimentary dinner for two each night when guests book a two-night stay. Rates start at $380 per couple for two nights from September 16 to October 25, 2012. 

Barsen House Inn in the Champlain Valley offers a $50 discount and a daily hearty country breakfast to travelers who book a three-night stay between September 15 and October 27, 2012. Rates start at $327 before discount based on double occupancy.

Visitors who stay at Sugar Lodge at Sugarbush in Warren for more than two nights will receive $20 off each additional night’s stay between September 21 and October 21, 2012. Rates start at $89 per unit before discount based on maximum occupancy.

Packages are only available midweek and blackout dates may apply at all properties.

Amtrak is offering a “Visit Vermont” rail discount of 20 percent through October 2013 for travel to any Vermont station. This includes the “Vermonter,” which provides daily service between Washington, D.C. and Saint Albans in Vermont, making stops in New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Hartford and Springfield.
