Ultra Lounges are usually scaled-down versions of Mega Clubs, which appeal to people looking for a similar experience without the crowds. They’re also not as loud and people that go here are usually looking to sip martinis rather than do shots and drink vodkas mixed with Red Bulls. A small admission may be applied a weekend evening.
Casino Bars are great because they feature live music and are geared to the over-30 set. The more traditional approach still leaves lots of room for fun in an atmosphere that’s pressure-free. On a recent trip to Las Vegas, we saw lots of people dancing the night away to familiar cover songs from the 1970s and 1980s.
Take Bellagio for instance. Here, the resort has The Bank, a mega club that attracts the heartiest partiers. Caramel is an intimate martini bar serving handcrafted drinks with music played at a level where conversations are still a possibility. Fontana Bar features live bands cranking out the hits people love to dance to. The night we were there, an eight-piece band—including a horn section—was belting out disco hits of the 1970s.

MGM Grand has unveiled Wet Republic, a 53,000-square-foot ultra pool combining an exclusive nightlife vibe with poolside pampering and relaxation. The adults-only Wet Republic will feature distinct experiences within a series of intimate spaces that include a poolside lounge, ten cabanas and six exclusive VIP bungalows.

Wet Republic will have eight separate pools and spas totaling more than 7,600 square feet. Las Vegas Announces “Cash in on Vegas” Booking Incentive
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has announced that it will partner with national travel wholesalers this spring to offer a special promotion for travel agents. The “Cash in on Vegas” booking incentive will offer travel agents the chance to qualify to win more than $50,000 in cash prizes.
From April 1-30, 2008, travel agents who sell a minimum of five air/land packages to the Las Vegas destination for travel during the months of April, May and June will qualify for the chance to win cash gift cards valued at $100, $250 and $500. Twelve lucky winners will each win the grand prize of $1,000.
