Earthquake Hits New Zealand

CNN and other sources are reporting that a 7.4 magnitude earthquake has occurred just outside the city of Christchurch, New Zealand. As the earthquake occurred in the very early morning hours (approximately 4:30 am), reports have been slow to come across the wires. A staff member in Tourism New Zealand's California offices said that they only knew what was being reported in the media.
