Peppers Adds New Zealand Lodge to Portfolio

Good news for clients headed to New Zealand: Peppers Retreats and Resorts has added Awaroa Lodge in the Abel Tasman National Park to its expanding New Zealand portfolio.

When it re-opens in late September following the winter, the property will be known as Peppers Awaroa Lodge. The new addition is one of six Peppers resorts and retreats located across the country. The brand recently expanded into Martinborough with the addition of Peppers Parehua Retreat in February, and across the Tasman with the Cradle Mountain Lodge also joining the network in March.

The wilderness lodge is the sole provider of luxury accommodation in the National Park, which includes the Abel Tasman Coast Track. With no road access available to the property, guests can either walk the track from either Marahau or Totaranui; Kayak the Abel Tasman coastline from Totaranui; take a water taxi from Kaiteriteri or Marahau; or charter a helicopter or light aircraft from Nelson, Motueka or Wellington.

The Lodge has 26 contemporary villas, including 12 Superior Suites that have been designed with a focus on the environment. (The property is involved with Green Globe 21, an environmental standard for eco-tourism.)
