Hilton Hawaiian Village Adds New Excursions to Roster

Good news for families headed to Hawaii this summer: The Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort has added the Waikiki Ocean Club to its roster of activities. Billed as “Waikiki’s ultimate ocean playground,” Waikiki Ocean Club is the third ocean activity offered to guests at the resort.

Moored about 300 yards offshore, the Waikiki Ocean Club offers a wide variety of ocean-related activities such as trampolines, diving platforms, jet skiing, snorkeling, and helmet diving. The cost for a full day on board is $89 for adults (16 and older); $69 for youth (4 to 15 years). Children three and under are $25.00.  Some activities on board incur an additional cost.

Other activities include sailing excursions on The Spirit of Aloha, a 54-foot catamaran, guests can explore the Waikiki coastline through several different sails, including a lunch snorkel sail, a reef snorkel sail, an afternoon adventure sail, sunset cocktails and a Friday night fireworks dinner cruise.

Another fun family activity is an Atlantis Submarine underwater tour. A shuttle boat takes passengers on a ten-minute scenic cruise from the Hilton Pier out to sea to the Atlantis Submarine dive site. There they will board a real passenger submarine and dive 120 feet below the ocean’s surface to get up close and personal with exotic sea creatures mingling among the Atlantis reef, while a guide shares information about the marine environment. Submarine tours leave the Hilton Pier every hour between 9 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily. Tours start at $89 for adults and $45 for children. Children must be at least 36 inches tall.

All three activities launch from Port Hilton, making it convenient for resort guests, or those in Waikiki. For reservations and more information about any of these activities, call the Tours & Activities Desk, open daily 7 a.m. - 9 p.m., at 808-947-2607.
